Call for Papers: Primary Care and Health Disparities

The Coronavirus Disease (COVID) pandemic continues to exacerbate health inequity and widens disparities worldwide. Family Medicine Community Health (FMCH), an academic journal dedicated to promoting ‘Health Care for All’ through disseminating novel knowledge and best practices in primary care and community health, plans to publish a specific issue on Primary Care and Health Disparities and invites submissions of original research, commentary, review, and methodology papers related to this focus from international primary care research community.

Specifically, the special issue includes papers in the following three categories:

  1. Editorial, Special communication and Perspective: these papers provide critical and evidence-based insight of health inequity and disparities in primary care.
  2. Original Research and Review: these papers report original data and/or analyze existing information and evidences in a systematic approach to answer specific research questions related to primary care and health disparities.
  3. Methodology and Research Method: these papers propose/describe innovative research methods for exploring and addressing health inequality and disparities in primary care, family medicine, and community health research.

The theme of this special issue is endorsed by the FMCH Editorial Board. The closing date for submissions to the special issue will be October 31, 2022. The submissions to this special issue will be fast-tracked for peer-review, revision, and processing, and will be published online expeditiously.
